Superbowl Sunday's Homophobic Snickers Commercial
Out-FM collective members discuss the homophobic Snickers commercials

National Healthcare

National Healthcare was derailed in 1946 when the Republicans took power during the Truman administration. It was derailed again in 1994 by the Republicans in coalition with right-wing democrats. Advocates for National Healthcare believe the time is right for another attempt. John Riley interviews Chairman John Conyers of the House Judiciary committee on the prospects for the passage of what many advocates say is the only real universal healthcare plan before the legislature. Ajamu Sankofa of Healthcare Now and Eric Sawyer of ACT UP/NY discuss the push those organizations are making for a real national healthcare plan.
