Dozens of critics of John McCain's Trade policies stood outside the New York Hyatt Hotel in midtown Manhattan on Tuesday, October 14th ready to present "checks from Big Pharma" to the candidate highlighting the Republican Presidential nominees close ties with Big Pharma.
In the photo below ACT UP/NY's Amanda Lugg presents a $10 million dollar check to Republican nominee John McCain. Memo line reads, "Keep HIV medications unaffordable" referring to the free trade agreements promoted by Bush and supported by McCain which undermine generic production of AIDS drugs. Instead of a check number, there is "Bribe number 30"
