AIDS Rally in DC - Th., Nov. 20 - Free Buses from NYC | Print |  E-mail
Tuesday, 11 November 2008
ACTUP/NY has joined the collective effort with organizations such as ACTUP-Philadelphia, The New York City AIDS Housing Network (NYCAHN), Health GAP, CHAMP, and others in organizing a large national rally in DC to "inaugurate" President-elect Obama as the president who can end the AIDS crisis at home and abroad.

Thursday, November 20, 2008
12:30pm - Lafayette Park - Washington, DC

Hundreds will rally near the White House and march to the Obama Transition Team offices to remind the newly elected president of his significant campaign commitments on AIDS, and outline the policies on HIV prevention, treatment, care, and funding that we will be looking for in his first 100 days in office. Join us in demanding that the fight against AIDS be a strong priority for the Obama administration!

Free buses will be leaving from a few departure points in NYC on the morning of Nov. 20. For more information and to sign-up for a spot on a bus, please contact Aaron Boyle at 917.621.6667 or <mailto: This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it > This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . For more general information about the national rally and to make a donation if you are able, see <http://www.100daystofightaids.org>www.100daystofightaids.org.

We will be finalizing plans at the ACTUP general meeting on Monday, November 17 at 8pm in the LGBT Center. Please come out and get involved!
Thanks and we'll see you soon.
