It’s been 5 years since the second American bombardment of Baghdad on March 19th, 2003 and the ensuing invasion and occupation of Iraq that continues today. This year, on March 19, in Washington D.C. and in other cities around the country and around the world, there will be a day of mass resistance through direct action and civil disobedience to oppose the American military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan. This will culminate a week of resistance to the war machine including Iraq Veterans Against the War’s historic event, Winter Solider which will present and broadcast the personal testimony of dozens of service members most of whom have seen combat in Iraq or Afghanistan. Brad Taylor talked to one of the IVAW soldiers – out lesbian Jen Hogg. (pronounced like Hogue) Click HERE to listen to segment (right click to download using "save as" command.)
