Spade’s intersectional analysis is essential to learn from as we enter the Trump Era. Intersectionality is the study of the interplay of race, sex, class in how oppressive institutions function. He discusses why organizers must see past liberal myths that will styme real change and not be satisfied with lipservice or reforms that are only for a select few. Activist and academic Dean Spade is a transgender man who helped found the Sylvia Rivera Law Project.
