Grace Poore facilitates a panel of Asian Pacific Queer activists discussing the role of family-based "values" in policing and oppressing queer and gender non-conforming people. The speakers are Benny Prawira Siauw from Indonesia, Jean Chong from Singapore and Rituparna Borah from India.

Imani Rashid brought Kwanzaa to the black queer lesbian community
Stahimili Mapp and Imani Rashid will be discussing the practice of Kwanzaa in the black queer community. Imani Rashid is a Yoruba Priest of Sango, the god of Fire, Thunder & Lightening. She is a Retired Teacher, a Visionary, an Entrepreneur, a Political Activist & Organizer and a godmother to some in The Yoruba Tradition. Imani was one of the first to bring the practice of Kwanzaa to the black queer lesbian community. Imani has always loved children so children and family have always be an integral part of the Kwanzaa celebration. The KWANZAA KIDS are an important part of the LGBT KWANZAA Celebration started back 1997.Imani is also the author of Kwanzaa in the Lesbian and Gay Community.
