As New York City"s Mount Sinai, Presbyterian and NYU Medical Centers have closed gender-affirming care programs for trans youth, Out-FM producers Naomi Brussel and Pauline Park present issues and activists involved in the struggle for the rights of trans youth.

In the first segment, New York Law School Professor Emeritus Arthur Leonard discusses the legal questions raised by the U.S. Department of Justice's attacks on medical facilities offering trans youth services.

Then ACT UP/NY member Gwen Appenfeller, who helped organize a recent demonstration against these attacks (along with the Gender Liberation Movement), talks about the impact on patients of closure of these services, and plans for continuing protests. And Pauline and Naomi explore the international medical controversies surrounding the provision of hormone and other treatments to trans youth.
