Queer Books in the Firing Line
Every day seems to bring a new attack on curriculum, libraries, and books with LGBT or sex-positive content. In this panel, librarians and legal experts will talk about their experiences working with librarians, teachers, and kids whose access to queer books has been blocked by school boards and state legislators, as well as what we can do about it.

Emily Drabinski, critical pedagogy librarian, and president of the American Library Association;

Joshua Block, staff attorney at the LGBT Rights Division; ACLU,

Rakisha Kearns-White, Brooklyn Public Library’s sex positive, BTS-loving, period advocate and young adult Librarian.

Moderated by Sarah Chinn, RBF co-coordinator.
