In the first segment, we’ll go to Chicago for a close examination of the track record of the Mayor-elect, Lori Lightfoot, who has won widespread praise not only as the first Black woman and first out-queer person to win that post, but also as a former federal prosecutor who now claims progressive credentials. Our guests will be Benji Hart, a femme, gender-non-conforming organizer with No Cop Academy, and Andy Thayer, cofounder of the Gay Liberation Network of Chicago.
